Learning a new skill!

Okay, so today I have been trying to learn a new skill; baking! Now whilst baking may come naturally to some, it certainly doesn't come naturally to everybody. Due to my past experiences attempting to cook I haven't ever attempted to make cakes from scratch as I thought that it would be a waste of ingredients!

However, I thought that whilst I am trying new things I might as well try and tackle my lack of skill in the kitchen (it didn't go so well!)

Below are the photographs of my cupcakes (don't judge me) and also a photo of my boyfriends beautiful red velvet cake (ladies if you cannot cook find a boy who can!)

They definitely did not look like this in my head when I was buying my ingredients! At least I managed to find cute cupcake holders which have got hearts and crowns on them! (Asda £2.50).

So whilst I may not have mastered the skill of baking just yet at least I tried, and hopefully next time my results will look more appealing! As always I will leave you with a positive quote:
